Celebrating Autism Acceptance: Highlights from Elijah’s 3rd Annual Autism Acceptance Celebration 💙

What an incredible day filled with love, laughter, understanding, and community.

This year marked our 3rd Annual Autism Acceptance Celebration, and every single year, this event continues to grow into something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. What started as a small dream to create a safe and welcoming space for autism families has turned into a day that truly impacts so many lives.

To every family that attended, every volunteer who donated their time, every sponsor and vendor who showed up with love and support—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This event was never just about activities or entertainment. It was about creating a place where our autism warriors could simply be themselves without judgment. A place where caregivers and parents could breathe, connect, and feel understood by others walking a similar journey.

Throughout the day, families enjoyed:

✨ Sensory-friendly activities

✨ Therapy dogs

✨ Interactive vendor booths

✨ Build-your-own flower bouquets

✨ Delicious food and treats

✨ Community resources and support services

✨ Photo opportunities and keepsakes

✨ Safe spaces for our neurodivergent attendees to enjoy at their own pace

But one of the most meaningful parts of the event was seeing the impact it had on the parents and caregivers.

As caregivers, we spend so much of our lives advocating, planning, worrying, protecting, researching, scheduling therapies, attending appointments, and navigating a world that is not always understanding of our children’s needs. Many families carry that weight silently every single day.

At our event, we saw parents smile, relax, laugh, and connect with others who truly understand their reality. At our flower station, a mother was asked "what kind of flowers would you like" —and she said " wow, I dont know, I haven't been asked what I like in a long time". Moments like that remind us why this event matters so much.

Autism acceptance is not just about supporting the child—it’s about supporting the entire family.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our amazing sponsors and vendors who helped make this event possible. Your generosity, kindness, and dedication helped create a meaningful experience for so many families in our community.

Thank you Jimmy and Terra with Jtography Media. You were able to capture the entire event in this beautiful video.

Thank You to Our Sponsors & Vendors 💙

Because of this incredible community:

💙 Over 140 attendees came together

💙 Families connected with valuable services and resources

💙 Children experienced joy, inclusion, and acceptance

💙 Parents and caregivers felt seen and supported

And this is only the beginning.

Our mission continues to grow, and our goal for 2026 is to officially become a nonprofit in Elijah’s name so we can continue offering support, resources, events, and acceptance for autism families year-round.

As we packed up at the end of the event and pulled into the driveway, Elijah looked at me and said:

“Aww… party over.”

I replied, “Yeah, party is over. Did you have fun?”

And with the biggest smile, he said:

“Ya! Let’s do it again!”

So in the beautiful words of Elijah…💙 YA! LET’S DO IT AGAIN! 💙
